Job Details Type: Travel Registered Nurse / Travel PACU RN Setting: Pre-Op / Phase 2 Recovery / Perioperative Nursing Location: Wichita, Kansas 67214 Start Date: 6/26/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Shift Duration: 12-hour days Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770 On-Call: Required; 30-minute response time On-Call Schedule: 2 - 10 hour on-call shifts every 8 weeks Unit Highlights: 9 pre-op beds, 5 Phase 2 recovery beds EMR: Meditech Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 1 year of current acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications Experience in PACU, pre-op nursing, or Phase 2 recovery preferred Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced surgical environment Preferred: Familiarity with Meditech and same-day surgery workflows Responsibilities Provide safe, efficient pre-operative nursing care for surgical and procedural patients Support Phase 2 recovery for a variety of patients, including urology, GYN, and other same-day surgery cases Care for patients scheduled for surgery, endoscopy, cath lab, EP, CT, outpatient infusions, outpatient EKGs, blocks, and blood transfusions Monitor patients closely and maintain appropriate patient ratios in a high-quality perioperative care environment Collaborate with physicians, providers, and nursing staff to ensure excellent patient flow and communication Respond to on-call assignments as needed and maintain readiness for urgent patient care needs Apply now for this Travel PACU Registered Nurse opportunity in Wichita, Kansas, and join a team dedicated to high-quality surgical and recovery care.
