Registered Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health/Mental Health Unit FT Days Location: Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, 201 Lyons Avenue, Newark, NJ 07112-2027. Department: Mental Health Unit. Status: Full-Time (hourly rate $49.28 – $66.05 per hour). Shift: Day shift, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. (36 hours per week). Pay transparency: The range reflects the anticipated hourly wage if hired to work in New Jersey. Compensation offered may vary based on education, skills, and experience. Qualifications ASN required; BSN preferred. New Jersey Registered Nurse license or approved compact license required. BLS certification from the American Heart Association required. Behavioral Health or Pediatric experience preferred. Scheduling Requirements Full-time 36 hours per week. Day shift 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Every other weekend required. Essential Functions Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. Ensure ethical practice by adhering to the ANA code of ethics. Maintain safety, apply evidence-based practice, and foster continuous professional development. Report safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors. Demonstrate knowledge of the patient population served. Supervise and delegate tasks to appropriate team members, collaborating with other care providers. Set priorities and evaluate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement. Utilize the nursing process to individualize care plans that address specific patient needs.
