Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct inpatient nursing care to pediatric patients on a 24-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
• Manage and monitor patients presenting with conditions including sickle cell disease, asthma, RAD, bronchiolitis, failure to thrive, sepsis, hyperbilirubinemia, neonatal fever, dehydration, cellulitis, gastroenteritis, and ingestions, among others
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR
• May be asked to float to primary care or the emergency department on low-census days
• Adhere to facility nicotine-free and infection control policies, including mandatory flu vaccination requirements

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience required
• Flu vaccine is mandatory - no exceptions or declinations accepted
• Must pass nicotine screening as part of the pre-employment drug screen

• Experience with Epic EMR strongly preferred
• Familiarity with common pediatric diagnoses such as sickle cell disease, bronchiolitis, and neonatal fever
• Comfort with floating to varied care settings such as primary care or the emergency department
