Job Title: Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Location: Oradell, NJ
Employment Type: Part-Time, Alternate Saturdays.
Salary/Pay: Based on experience
Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to promote oral health by completing dental prophylaxis, conducting screenings, and partnering with our dentists to deliver top-tier patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care: Evaluate overall oral health, examine gums for periodontal disease, and perform scaling, root planing, and polishing.
- Diagnostics: Expose and develop digital radiographs (X-rays) and perform oral cancer screenings.
- Preventive Treatments: Apply protective sealants, fluoride treatments, and other cavity-preventing agents.
- Patient Education: Demonstrate proper brushing and flossing techniques and provide post-procedure care instructions.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a sterile, clean work environment and adhere strictly to infection-control and HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Valid State Registered Dental Hygienist license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Familiarity with dental software (Dentrix/Dexis) is a plus
- Outstanding interpersonal and patient-soothing communication skills
