Position Overview Pilots To The Rescue is seeking a Director of Transport Operations to lead and scale the organization’s national animal rescue transport network. This leadership role oversees a complex transport system that includes aircraft, ground transport vehicles, volunteer pilots, professional drivers, and mission coordinators operating across the United States. The Director ensures the safe and efficient movement of animals from overcrowded shelters and disaster zones to receiving shelters and rescue partners. This position blends aviation coordination, fleet management, logistics leadership, and nonprofit mission impact, offering a unique opportunity to apply operational expertise to a cause that directly saves furry lives. What were the challenges and how did you resolve those challenges to ensure successful operations? You would be overseeing a growing fleet of aircraft and vehicles located across several states. How would you manage fleet readiness, maintenance schedules, and pilot/driver availability across locations as the organization scales?
