Leasing Consultant

Location: Terra Vida – 150 S Roosevelt Rd Business Job Summary The Leasing Consultant is the first point of contact for prospective and current residents, building positive relationships and driving sales to meet occupancy goals. The role combines customer service, sales, and leasing administration within our multifamily portfolio. Essential Job Functions Customer Service (30%) Deliver outstanding service to prospects and residents, exceeding expectations. Guide prospects through the leasing experience, answering calls, emails, chats, and texts. Encourage prospects to apply and serve as liaison throughout the application and move‑in process. Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Sales (40%) Communicate detailed information about communities and apartments, conducting personalized tours that result in new leases. Highlight community quality and lifestyle; employ effective selling techniques to close sales. Maintain current knowledge of listings, amenities, local agencies, rental rates, and competitive promotions. Project a favorable image of the community to achieve occupancy goals and public recognition. Leasing Administration (30%) Manage leads in the CRM, qualify prospects, and conduct follow‑ups after tours. Complete move‑in procedures, communicate screening results, and prepare leases. Inspect apartments before move‑in, coordinating with maintenance as needed. Ensure all tasks in the CRM are completed within the appropriate time frame. Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree in Customer Service/Hospitality preferred. Experience 1‑2 years of sales and customer service experience, achieving sales goals in a fast‑paced environment (e.g., property management, hospitality, retail). 1‑2 years of leasing experience in multifamily property management preferred. Licenses & Certifications Valid driver's license (if required by the property). Requirements & Skills Demonstrated success in goal setting and following a sales process. Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws and fair housing compliance. High energy, sales‑driven mindset, and strong customer‑service focus. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi CRM preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
