Job Summary

Nathan L. Jacobson & Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time, highly motivated Civil/Environmental Project Engineer to join our team of design professionals. We are a licensed civil and environmental engineering firm in Connecticut specializing in technical services for municipal and institutional clients, as well as State and Federal agencies. Salary is commensurate with experience, with strong opportunities for advancement based on performance.

Responsibilities

· Civil and environmental engineering design, including sanitary sewers, wastewater pump stations, subsurface sewage disposal systems, and water supply systems

· Familiarity with CT DEEP and CT DPH sanitary system design and permitting criteria

· Preparation of construction drawings and technical specifications

· Report writing, cost estimating, and permitting

· Presentations to land use commissions and clients

· Approximately 95% office work / 5% field work

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

· EIT required, P.E. preferred

· Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work independently or under supervision

· Accurate and thorough engineering computation skills

· Ambitious, adaptable, and committed to efficient work

· Strong leadership, delegation, research, and analytical abilities

· Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

· Ability to safely navigate project sites in varying weather conditions

· Professional attitude and excellent work ethic

Eligibility Requirements

· Legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction

· Valid driver’s license

· Willing to take a drug test (if required)
