Information Specialist IV

Siter-Neubauer & Associates, an affiliate of MRINetwork, is seeking an Information Specialist IV to support the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) at their Central Campus in Austin, TX. This role involves managing customer inquiries, assisting with executive presentations, and supporting legislative reports and training sessions.

Essential Job Functions:

• External Presentations (30%): Develop and edit presentations and documents for the DSHS Commissioner, ensuring clarity and accessibility. Assist with graphic design as needed.
• Legislative Reports (30%): Schedule and run meetings for legislative reports, organize report archives, and maintain tracking systems.
• Training Materials (20%): Develop materials and assist in setting up and facilitating training sessions for agency-wide processes.
• Website Content (20%): Review and update content on DSHS internal website pages.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), SharePoint, and Teams.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
• Skill in triaging issues and applying agency rules and regulations.
• Empathetic and compassionate interaction with individuals in various situations.
• Experience with writing and editing complex documents.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of DSHS and health and human services programs.
• Experience in public health or related fields.
• Prior experience in customer service and handling public inquiries.
• Minimum one year of experience in customer service, report development, data management, and using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Schedule: Hybrid staffing, requiring in-office presence three days per week (flexible) and telework two days per week. Specific in-office days are subject to supervisor approval. Services are required Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time.
