Overview

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Administer medications, manage IVs/PICC/central lines as appropriate, monitor for adverse effects, interpret ABGs, and support respiratory needs (oxygen/HFNC/BiPAP/CPAP).
- Monitor for and respond to changes in patient condition; participate in rapid response and code events as part of the interdisciplinary team.
- Document thoroughly in Epic, ensuring accurate and timely charting of assessments, treatments, and care plans.
- Collaborate with IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, phlebotomy, social services, pharmacy, and others to coordinate care and isolation precautions as indicated.
- Maintain competency across unit responsibilities, with float coverage as needed and orientation completed according to unit policy.

Requirements
- Active RN license in the United States (state or compact) and in-hand at time of submittal
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Epic charting experience; proficient in clinical documentation and care planning
- Travel nursing experience required; minimum 2 years med-surg RN experience preferred
- Ability to care for adult and geriatric populations; Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Onboarding: core items/labs to be completed within 48 hours of contract signing; onsite orientation; RN modules typically 4–6 hours (non-billable)
