CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development including: requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, and product software design, verification & validation. We integrate the control and diagnostic system design across other engine system modules and with the air vehicles and provide support throughout the complete engine product life cycle.Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Control System Engine Airframe Integration Principal Engineer to work onsite in our East Hartford, CT campus. The successful candidate will be the Engine Airframe Integration Lead on a military development program.Key Responsibilities:Establish and manage incoming and outgoing control system and airframe interface requirements.Analyze, decompose, validate, and document all relevant functional requirements.Plan software release content with airframer and internal customers and develop critical integration milestones and handoffs.Plan and coordinate verification and validation plans for Engine/Airframe Interface Requirements, including planning and execution of airframe integration rigs. As required, support onsite airframer integration, validation & verification.Participate as necessary in Engine Airframe Integration, Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) and other integration meetings. Coordinate and lead airframe / control system Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and Design Reviews as required.Identify, assess, and communicate system-level functional risks, and develop mitigation plans and execute burndowns of those risks.Assess customer impact of open problems.
