Position Overview Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Software Engineer focused on full‑stack development, automation, and DevOps. The role involves designing and building software, pipelines, and automated tests for space domain clarity and mission‑critical systems. Responsibilities Generate and simulate operational level plans to explore potential defense strategies in future space warfare. Dynamically optimize terrestrial and space‑based sensors to provide comprehensive space domain awareness. Strategically optimize placement and maneuvering of constellations of satellites to satisfy evolving priorities. Build and maintain full‑stack solutions using JavaScript (front‑end) and Java (back‑end). Develop automated tests (unit, service, end‑to‑end) and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines. Leverage GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker and other open‑source tools to automate deployments and operations. Basic Qualifications Experience with pipeline automation. Knowledge of Kubernetes. Software development experience. Desired Skills Experience with Ansible. Knowledge of Helm. Experience with ArgoCD.
