Tax Advisor

Role Title: Tax Advisor (CPA or EA) Role Type: Contractor Location: Remote (US Only) micro1 is engaging Tax Advising Experts to contribute to a customer's project focused on tax preparation and advisory services. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. Scope of Work Review and analyze a diverse array of real-world tax scenarios to provide clear and accurate guidance consistent with IRS regulations and industry standards. Evaluate and annotate tax-related documents and workflows to establish rubrics and best practices for AI training purposes. Deliver input and recommendations on income tax preparation and filing, leveraging your CPA or Enrolled Agent experience. Identify subtle complexities and edge cases in federal and state tax situations to enhance AI model reasoning and accuracy. Collaborate remotely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals focused on advancing AI capabilities in the tax advisory domain. Document your insights and feedback in a structured, detailed manner to ensure clarity and high-quality dataset contribution. Continuously monitor and assess AI outputs for accuracy and completeness, providing suggestions for iterative improvement. Preferred Qualifications Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent credential a must. Must have proven expertise in income tax preparation and filing for individuals and/or businesses. Strong command of communication principles, with an ability to convey complex tax concepts clearly and succinctly. Experience with developing or applying rubrics, checklists, or quality standards in tax advising or education settings. Interest in contributing to the advancement of AI and technology-driven solutions within the tax or accounting sector. Attention to detail and ability to recognize nuances in tax law and regulations.
