Youth Development Site Director - YMCA of Greater Richmond

Are you passionate about working with children, leading a team, and making a meaningful impact in your community? The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a positive, energetic, and experienced Youth Development Site Director to lead our child-care and camp programs at the various YMCA locations in the Greater Richmond area. This position will not be the Director at just one location. We are seeking a candidate interested in floating between several locations, building relationships and changing lives wherever they go! What You’ll Do Designing, planning, and implementing engaging, age-appropriate developmental programs Overseeing day-to-day operations of the child care center Supervising and mentoring on-site staff Creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for school-age children Building strong relationships with children and families and serving as a key point of communication Collaborating with school officials and YMCA leadership Ensuring compliance with Virginia DOE licensing requirements and YMCA quality standards Managing site safety, equipment, and facilities Attending and leading required child care trainings Supporting program administration, budgeting, and staffing needs What You Bring Experience supervising staff and supporting program operations Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Experience leading groups of youth A positive, enthusiastic leadership style A valid driver's license with a good driving record Virginia DOE licensing qualifications (college-level coursework in a related field or CDA required) Must be at least 21 years old Who We Are The YMCA of Greater Richmond is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the foundations of our community.
