Position Summary The Bramcolm team is seeking a Solution Architect who will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to design, prototype, and evaluate highly scalable solutions for mission-critical systems. Key Responsibilities Partner with engineers, business leaders, and operations teams to design solutions that meet critical operational and business requirements Shape and guide the architecture vision Balance technical debt management with feature delivery Required Qualifications Experience & Expertise Significant experience (typically 8+ years ) in software engineering and solution/enterprise architecture Proven track record of shaping and delivering modern technology solutions in production environments Strong design and problem‑solving skills with demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges Background in solving architecture challenges within complex, regulated, or mission‑critical environments such as: Energy and utilities Financial services Healthcare Telecommunications Government and public sector Or similar high‑stakes industries Technical Skills Hands‑on experience connecting architecture to real‑world delivery through: Modern CI/CD tools and practices (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab) Programming languages (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar) Cloud services and platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) Microservices and distributed systems architectures Strong understanding of: Cloud‑native architecture patterns API design and integration patterns Data architecture and data management strategies Security architecture and secure design principles Scalability and performance optimization High availability and disaster recovery Ability to design solutions across multiple technology domains (applications, data, infrastructure, integration) Experience with architecture frameworks and modeling approaches Understanding of enterprise architecture principles and patterns Capability to evaluate technology options and make informed recommendations Skills in creating architecture diagrams, documentation, and decision records Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation) Domain expertise in energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure systems Experience with real‑time or near‑real‑time systems
