## Patient Billing Representative - Cardiology Clinic, Full TimeApplylocations: Columbia - Boone Hospital Centertime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: R-10046# **Job Description****Additional Job Information*** Full-Time, 40 hours per week* Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.* No weekends or holidays* Benefits begin on first day of employment* Free employee parking### ## **Overview****Job Summary:** The Patient Billing Representative is responsible for accurately managing and processing patient charge information to support timely billing operations.**Job Responsibilities:*** Pull charge reports from multiple medical record systems* Performing manual charge entry of charges into GEMMS (or other EMR as applicable)* Reconciling charges to ensure completeness and accuracy* Collaborate closely with coding staff to verify that appropriate codes are applied and compliant with billing standards* Serves as a liaison between the clinic and the billing company, helping to resolve discrepancies, communicate updates, and ensure efficient workflow between departments.**Required Qualifications:*** High school diploma or equivalent required* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)**Preferred Qualifications:*** Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in medical billing, healthcare revenue cycle, or a related role* Working knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding standards* Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and billing platforms (GEMMS experience preferred)* Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with coders, clinic staff, and external billing partners* Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment**Work Shift**Day Shift (United States of America)**Legal Statement**The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this position.
