Specialist - Scheduling

We are always looking for the best and brightest talent and we are committed to making your job a challenging and rewarding experience.Job Summary:Performs in-depth and complex planning, scheduling and coordination of product movements of bulk liquids via pipeline, truck, rail, and barge/vessel to ensure continuity of marketing supply. Works closely with traders in direct support of trading and retail marketing strategy.Core Responsibilities:Effectively manages and assists others with, the overall supply chain for refined and/or renewable productsSeamlessly resolves product supply issues as a result of planned or unplanned eventsLeads develop on solutions to complex problemsInventory management in the process of scheduling, and oversees end of year inventory targets for the teamEnsures solutions are consistent with organization’s objectivesInterfaces with industry counterparts and 3rd party carriers to negotiate and coordinate deliveries of required inventoryAuthorizes the transfer of products with 3rd partiesCollaborates with trading to ensure adequate purchases/sales of product to meet supply needsEvaluates alternative logistics modes or routes for bulk movements for more efficient supply chainOptimizes the product supply chain to reduce logistics costsEnsures that all scheduling processes take place in a correct and timely mannerResponsible for analyzing the demand and supply balanceMonitors and provides analyses of finished product inventoryRequirements:Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:Bachelor's degree in logistics/business or related field or equivalent work experienceDemonstrated ability to work and negotiate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and be on call 24/7Excellent interpersonal/communication skills (both written and verbal), computer skills, and analytical skillsThrives in cross-functional team environmentStrong troubleshooting, problem solving, and decision-making skillsPipeline/Barge scheduling experienceRequired Experience is commensurate with the selected job level:The Associate Specialist requires a bachelor's degree or 0-2 years of relevant job experience. The Specialist level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experienceThe Senior Specialist level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experienceThe Lead Specialist level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experienceDesired/Preferred Skills: Exposure to one or more energy markets (crude oil and/or petroleum products)Understanding of the interaction and significance of the various aspects/elements of the refined products trading/marketing supply chain is desirableAbility to apply a well-developed understanding of business strategies and logistics operations to achieve the business and team objectivesUnderstanding of RightAngle and/or Transport 4 systems
