Acute Care Tech Resident - Precision Abdominal Med Surg

This position provides acute and rehabilitative care for people with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems. The components in this position include education, consultation, counseling, research, and administration.

Job responsibilities include conducting thorough, individualized needs assessments for patients with wound, ostomy, or continence problems, pursuing opportunities for professional growth, developing written educational plans, providing individualized education to ostomy surgery patients and families, determining the appropriate site for stoma placement, participating in ongoing evaluation of patient's progress, working with purchasing to find evidence-based products, managing WOC operations, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, developing policies, best practices, protocols and procedures, and serving as a client advocate.
