Perdiem Weekends

$47.00-$50.50/hr

What will I do as an Occupational Therapist for The Wesley Community?

Our Occupational Therapists work closely with in our in-patient long term care residents and short term rehab patients to restore activities of daily living. A few of the most common duties and responsibilities required of our Occupational Therapists include:

  • Evaluate and develop treatment plans for residents based on their medical diagnoses.

  • Implement treatment plans to improve residents' goals toward functional independence.

  • Assess and document residents' progress in detailed re-certifications, progress reports, and daily notes.

  • Maintain resident confidence by ensuring the confidentiality of all information.

  • Maintain documentation of resident care services by auditing resident and department records.

  • Assume responsibility for clinically supervising occupational therapy assistants.

  • Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to related documentation.

  • Plan, develop, and organize OT-related reports and data tracking as directed by the Rehab Director.

  • Assist in departmental projects as needed.

 

Occupational Therapist Requirements :

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.

  • Current New York State Occupational Therapist License.

  • Experience in Subacute and/or Long-Term Care is a plus, though not required.
