Job Description Job Title: Instrumentation Data Quality Liaison Working Pattern: Full time Working location: Indianapolis, IN A new position has arisen for an Instrumentation Data Quality Liaison. This is an exciting opportunity to work on flagship Rolls-Royce programs and play a vital role in solving some of the most complex and interesting technological challenges in the industry while being part of a global team. As an Instrumentation Data Quality Liaison you will be responsible for interfacing with a multi-disciplinary group of stakeholders to refine and manage measurement requirements, steering the design and selection of instrumentation to meet those requirements. This role will also involve the traceability of critical test instrumentation and instrumentation design documentation digitalization and standardization. This is a dynamic hands on role with direct interface with the instrumentation lab, assembly floor and engine test teams. Why Rolls-Royce? Key Accountabilities: To act as a liaison between program, instrumentation, measurement and test engineering teams to refine and manage measurement requirements, steering the design and selection of instrumentation to meet those requirements Traceability of critical test instrumentation Instrumentation process improvement and standardization Instrumentation design documentation digitalization and standardization Collaboration with global Rolls-Royce test and measurement team To communicate test instrumentation progress and plans to business programs as required Write department procedures as necessary to improve efficiency and capture lessons learned, as well as help train and develop less experienced engineers May work independently, be part of a team performing like tasks, or act as a specialist in a particular area depending on experience level and complexity of the task May travel for off-site instrumentation and test support and represent the company while working with the customer Additional duties as assigned Who we’re looking for: At Rolls-Royce we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related business field with 1+ years of experience in technical roles OR; Master’s degree in Engineering or related business field OR; PhD in Engineering In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship Preferred Requirements: Technical experience with Instrumentation (i.e. pressure, strain, temperature) Mechanical design experience using computer aided tools such as NX Test data systems experience Working knowledge of measurement uncertainty principles Engineering testing experience in gas turbine systems Experience interfacing with customers on technical program issues Demonstrated project planning and management experience Excellent interpersonal and communications skills including technical writing and presentations What we offer: We offer excellent development opportunities, a competitive salary, and exceptional benefits.
