Job Description
Summary
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the Communications Platform (CSP) product and drive the continued evolution of customer communication capabilities. This role will be responsible for leading a multi-phase Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) migration, enhancing communication preferences and channel management capabilities, and partnering with engineering and business stakeholders to deliver personalized, customer-centric experiences. The ideal candidate will have experience with marketing technology platforms, communication systems, CRM technologies, and enterprise-scale customer engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the remaining phases of the Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) migration program.
- Own communication platform roadmap initiatives while ensuring delivery against established milestones.
- Serve as the primary product contact for Adobe and implementation partners, managing scope, escalations, and delivery alignment.
- Partner with Platform Engineering teams to enhance communication preferences, audience management, trigger logic, and collision control capabilities.
- Collaborate with CRM Strategy, CRM Enablement, Loyalty, Credit, and Marketing teams to define business requirements and product priorities.
- Drive communication strategy decisions related to channel selection, personalization, customer engagement, and send frequency.
- Monitor migration progress, dependencies, risks, and project milestones while providing status updates to leadership.
- Translate business needs into detailed product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Support data integrations and workflows across email, push notification, and SMS communication channels.
- Partner with engineering teams on platform architecture, technical scoping, and implementation planning.
- Ensure communication experiences balance customer trust, engagement, deliverability, and business objectives.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of product management experience within technology-driven environments.
- Experience managing marketing technology, CRM, communications platforms, or email service provider (ESP) solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or equivalent customer engagement platforms.
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Bluecore, or similar marketing technology platforms.
- Familiarity with customer data integrations, reporting pipelines, and marketing automation ecosystems.
- Experience working with BigQuery, Looker, GA4, or comparable analytics and reporting platforms.
- Ability to partner effectively with engineering teams on technical requirements, architecture discussions, and platform enhancements.
- Experience translating business requirements into actionable product specifications.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and vendor relationship management skills.
- Experience managing third-party vendors, consulting partners, and implementation teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDP).
- Knowledge of audience segmentation, activation, and personalization strategies.
- Experience with SMS and text messaging platforms.
- Background supporting retail, ecommerce, loyalty, or lifecycle marketing programs.
- Experience managing omnichannel customer communication strategies.
- Familiarity with customer engagement and customer journey optimization initiatives.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
- Advanced degree preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of Product Management experience in technology-focused organizations.
- Experience managing enterprise marketing technology or customer communications platforms.
- Experience leading complex platform migrations and enterprise software implementations.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Marketing, CRM, Loyalty, and Business stakeholders.
- Proven experience delivering customer engagement solutions and communication platform enhancements.
Certifications
- Product Management certifications are a plus.
- Adobe Experience Cloud or Adobe Journey Optimizer certifications are preferred.
- Additional CRM, marketing technology, or analytics-related certifications are advantageous.
