Schedule 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, between 7:00am-5:00pm, not to exceed 40 hours per week. Qualifications Must have an active, unincumbered license to practice medicine in any state. Must be Board Certified/Board Eligibile. ACLs, BLS, EHR, Rad/NM. Duties Review imaging requests for appropriateness and provide appropriate protocols and oversight to radiology technologists. Protocol examinations and prescribe contrast agents, medications, and radiation doses in accordance with professional industry standards and ACR guidelines. Communicate imaging protocols to radiology technologists and imaging staff. Adhere to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles in all radiation-related activities. Provide interpretations of diagnostic imaging studies within the following turnaround times in the approved reporting system: STAT studies within one (1) hour; ASAP studies within eight (8) hours; Routine studies within forty-eight (48) hours. Communicate critical, urgent, and unexpected findings in accordance with departmental policies. Identify and report poor image quality or equipment performance using appropriate facility reporting channels.
