Construction Material Testing Technicians are involved in testing and inspections of various construction materials on construction sites and in our materials laboratory. Apply today!Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesIDOT Certifications (Nuclear Density, Mixture Aggregate Technician, Portland Cement Concrete).Perform various tests and inspections on construction materials.Written and electronic reports must be completed regularly.Verbal communication with site and office personnel is required.For more experienced personnel, some supervision and training of less-experienced staff is likely.Adhere to strict safety procedures and standards.Bonus OpportunityNew Full-time employees are eligible to participate in the SCI Training Success Incentive Program. More information to be provided during the interview process.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.Requires a basic logical understanding of smartphones.Requires logical approach to problem solving.Minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent.No previous experience is required.
