Opportunity Overview:

Team Red Dog is hiring a Technical Community Program Manager – AI & Scientific Computing for our client, a next-generation cloud platform company and AI-driven technology organization. In this highly visible remote role, you'll help build and scale technical communities by managing GitHub repositories, curating scientific AI assets, supporting customer and partner onboarding, and creating technical enablement content that accelerates adoption of cutting-edge AI technologies. This opportunity combines technical program management, developer advocacy, GitHub administration, scientific computing, AI/LLM technologies, and customer engagement while working directly with emerging AI platforms that are shaping the future of scientific discovery. Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

1. GitHub Repository Management & AI Technologies – Experience maintaining GitHub repositories, managing repository assets, governance, contribution workflows, and documentation, with familiarity in AI/LLM technologies, APIs, MCP, and machine learning concepts.
2. Scientific Computing & Software Engineering – Experience applying software engineering practices to scientific applications, computational science, simulations, or research environments while building reusable technical assets and workflows.
3. Technical Program Management & Customer Enablement – Experience coordinating technical projects, supporting partner onboarding, troubleshooting integrations, managing cross-functional collaboration, and driving operational execution.

1. Technical Content Creation & Developer Advocacy – Ability to create blogs, tutorials, videos, onboarding guides, documentation, workshops, and customer-facing learning materials that simplify complex technical concepts.

How you will make an impact:

• Manage and maintain customer-facing GitHub repositories, ensuring repository assets remain organized, current, and easy to navigate.
• Support community contribution workflows, repository governance, documentation, and operational processes.
• Curate scientific workflows, AI agents, reusable sample packages, starter kits, and technical assets for community adoption.
• Develop blogs, tutorials, videos, onboarding guides, documentation, workshops, and other customer-facing technical content.
• Support technical onboarding for customers and partners by assisting with environment configuration, repository contributions, integration setup, and deployment validation.
• Troubleshoot onboarding challenges and coordinate technical issues with engineering teams and subject matter experts.
• Track customer feedback, community engagement, adoption metrics, and recurring support trends to recommend continuous improvements.
• Produce operational reports and contribute to initiatives that improve community growth, contribution readiness, and customer success.
• Participate in weekly delivery reviews, monthly business reviews, and strategic planning sessions with internal stakeholders.

The expertise you bring:

• 1–2+ years of experience managing GitHub repositories, repository governance, or developer community assets.
• Experience working with AI/LLM technologies, APIs, MCP concepts, and machine learning fundamentals.
• Experience applying software engineering practices within scientific computing, computational science, research, or simulation environments.
• Experience supporting technical program management, customer onboarding, or technical coordination initiatives.
• Strong technical writing skills with experience creating documentation, tutorials, blogs, videos, and customer learning materials.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues and coordinating cross-functional resolutions.
• Familiarity with version control, open-source collaboration, and developer workflows.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• GitHub portfolio demonstrating technical work, community contributions, or software projects.

Job Type and Estimated Duration:
