Student Assistant

Pay Range: Targeted salary of $12.00 per hour based on education and experience. Benefits Eligible: No Work Schedule: Shifts assigned Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Desired availability for Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. Travel: Not required Position Introduction: Student Office Assistants provide a welcoming, inviting atmosphere while performing front desk assistance, including reception duties, guest check-in, answering multi-line phones, answering questions, design work, art exhibition prep, data entry, office mail organization filing and other duties as assigned. Job Duties: Serve as the front-line assistant to guest visiting the OU School of Visual Arts Office Answer phone calls Assist with administrative task (such as making copies, filing and scanning documents, running errands, restocking office supplies, organizing work areas and storage spaces, distributing mail) Designing various materials Help with art exhibition materials and handling All other duties as assigned Required Education and Experience: Must be currently enrolled in the Fall Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status. Required Attachments: Resume Class Schedule Skills: Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills both orally and in writing. Detail-oriented. Experience with design programs such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite. Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Internet.
