About the Role:

As a FedEx Contracted Delivery Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of packages to customers across various locations in the United States. This position requires you to manage your delivery route efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service and safety. You will be responsible for handling packages with care, verifying delivery information, and communicating effectively with dispatch and customers. The role demands a strong commitment to punctuality, reliability, and adherence to FedEx policies and procedures. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the overall success of FedEx’s logistics operations and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by FedEx.
• Physical ability to lift packages up to 150 pounds and perform repetitive tasks such as loading and unloading.
• Ability to run rural routes along with some in town routes.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Would prefer experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role, if not will train.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a delivery vehicle safely and efficiently to transport packages to assigned locations within scheduled timeframes.
• Load and unload packages, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit.
• Verify delivery information, obtain signatures when required, and update delivery status using handheld devices or mobile applications.
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch and report any issues such as delays, vehicle problems, or delivery exceptions promptly.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service, addressing customer inquiries or concerns during deliveries.

The required skills such as safe driving, route navigation, and package handling are essential for completing daily deliveries efficiently and securely. Strong communication skills enable you to coordinate with dispatch and provide excellent customer service, which enhances the overall delivery experience. Physical stamina and organizational skills help manage the demands of loading, unloading, and delivering packages throughout the day. Preferred skills like familiarity with FedEx systems and prior delivery experience allow for quicker adaptation to the role and improved operational performance. Together, these skills ensure that you can meet the expectations of the position while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction.

Salary : $850.00 -$1000.00 weekly based on experience. During training you will be paid $750.00 per week.
