Test Technician

Reliability Test TechnicianKey ResponsibilitiesBuild and assemble test boards, fixtures, and test systems from schematics, build plans, and specifications provided by engineersPerform precision soldering and rework on test boards, components, and interconnects (through-hole and surface-mount) to build reliability test vehiclesStart, stop, and monitor reliability tests (e.g., HTOL, HTRB, THB, temperature cycling, burn-in, life testing) in accordance with test plansSet up and configure test chambers, power supplies, data loggers, and other lab equipment to support reliability test executionPerform routine and non-routine troubleshooting of test systems, fixtures, and equipment; escalate complex issues to reliability engineersCollect, record, and organize test data; perform basic data checks and flag anomalies or out-of-spec results to engineersMaintain accurate documentation of test setups, run logs, and equipment maintenance records in accordance with quality proceduresSupport calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair of lab equipment and test fixturesAssist engineers with failure analysis support activities, including sample preparation and handlingMaintain a clean, organized, and safe lab work area consistent with EHS standardsTrain and mentor junior technicians on soldering techniques, test system builds, and lab safety proceduresRequired QualificationsAssociate's degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)3+ years of relevant experience in a reliability lab, electronics test lab, or similar technical support roleDemonstrated soldering proficiency (through-hole and SMT); IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification preferredAbility to read and build from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering build plansExperience operating lab/test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, data acquisition systems, and environmental/temperature chambersStrong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed test procedures preciselyAbility to work day shift, including occasional overtime as needed to support test start/stop schedulesPreferred QualificationsExperience in semiconductor or electronics component reliability testing (HTOL, HTRB, THB, burn-in, temperature cycling, etc.)IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certificationFamiliarity with reliability test standards (JEDEC, MIL-STD, AEC-Q)Basic troubleshooting skills with electrical/electronic circuitsExperience with lab data systems or LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems)Physical RequirementsAbility to sit/stand for extended periods while performing fine hand-eye coordination tasks (soldering, assembly)Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work with small components requiring precision and steady handsComfortable working near test chambers with elevated/reduced temperatures under controlled safety conditionsWhat We OfferCompetitive pay and benefitsComprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth and advancement opportunities in a growing technology companyWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
