Job Location Windber Center (99 Spruce), 99 Spruce Street, Windber, PA 15963, USA Qualifications Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with clean driving record. Pass required Pennsylvania State Medical Exam for Drivers of Commercial Vehicles. Effective verbal and written communication skills with donors and associates. Positive interaction with the public and Goodwill employees. Availability to work weekends on a regular basis. Truck Driver or Delivery driver experience (preferred). DOT certification (preferred). Licensed to drive commercial vehicles. Physical Demands Ability to engage in frequent bending, stooping, lifting and stretching; lift and carry objects weighing 35 lb or more frequently, and 50 lb or more occasionally using material handling equipment when possible; prolonged sitting for an hour or more several times each day; vision and hearing corrected to within normal limits. Duties and Responsibilities Drive Goodwill’s trucks to transport materials, deliver shipments, pick up used goods, deliver purchased merchandise, and other transportation functions. Load and unload materials using material handling equipment whenever practical. Act as attendant at donation sites and special drives: receive goods, assist donors, provide tax receipts, keep records, and perform rough sorting. Provide polite and responsive service to donors, customers, and the public. Collaborate with other Goodwill employees and trainees. Inspect trucks daily for maintenance needs, complete a written checklist, and report concerns to Director of Retail Operations. Operate truck safely in accordance with Goodwill safety procedures and federal, state, and local laws. Follow all Goodwill policies in the course of work. Perform other duties assigned to benefit Goodwill Industries, some of which may be non-essential.
