About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Host to join our team in the Accommodation and Food Services industry. As a Host, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests have an exceptional dining experience from the moment they arrive until they leave. You will be the first point of contact for our guests, greeting them with a warm and friendly smile, and escorting them to their tables. Your ultimate goal is to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for our guests, ensuring that they leave with a positive impression of our establishment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to walk and stand during an entire shift

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Familiar with health and safety regulations
• Demonstrate customer-service skills
• Ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests with a warm and friendly smile upon arrival
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
• Provide menus and announce servers name
• Maintain a clean work area
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
• Assist wait staff including with setting up tables and maintaining a clean and organized dining area

Skills:

As a Host, you will utilize your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service to our guests. You will also use your strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage the waiting list and ensure that guests are seated promptly. Overall, your skills will be crucial in creating a positive and memorable dining experience for our guests.
