Inspection Specialist - Night Shift

Rantec Microwave Systems, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Inspection Specialist for the Night Shift to perform mechanical inspection on machined components and complex assemblies, as well as brazed assemblies.

Job Duties:

• Operate a PC with Windows-based software (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Read, interpret, and follow mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, work instructions, manufacturing procedures, quality procedures, and industry specifications.
• Program and operate CMM machines using PCDMIS software.
• Use handheld inspection equipment to ensure part compliance (calipers, micrometers, etc.).

Skill Requirements:

• Must be capable of performing all manners of mechanical inspection, utilizing all types of handheld equipment.
• Write programs and operate CMM machines utilizing PCDMIS software.
• Understand and interpret geometric tolerancing.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 Years mechanical inspection experience including operating and programming PCDMIS-based CMM machines.
• Dip Braze knowledge a plus

1. Must be able to obtain a security clearance to perform all duties associated with this position.

Work Schedule:

• This position will work the day shift for 30 - 90 days before being transferred to the night shift.
• Day shift hours are 5:00 am to 3:30 pm - 4 days per week, Monday through Thursday
• Night shift hours are 3:00 pm to 1:30 am - 4 days per week, Monday through Thursday

Physical Requirements:

• Lift and handle approximately 20 pounds.
