Key Responsibilities

  • Execute care plans developed by supervising Physical Therapists, which typically include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities as indicated.
  • Instruct patients in therapeutic activities and the proper use of rehabilitation equipment, ensuring a safe and supportive environment during therapy sessions.
  • Monitor patients' responses to treatment protocols, assessing their progress and suggesting modifications to therapy as needed, based on individual medical conditions.
  • Document all patient care activities thoroughly and accurately; ensure sign-offs from Physical Therapists for treatment plans and billing documentation.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and Physical Therapists, communicating vital patient concerns and treatment responses for optimal care coordination.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, and assist in achieving departmental goals through participation in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervising Physical Therapist to enhance patient care and departmental efficiency.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient demographic, including individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or undergoing cancer treatment. Utilizing a tailored rehabilitation approach, you will empower patients to regain mobility, strength, and independence, significantly enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assisting or a related field from an accredited program is required.
  • A valid state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant is mandatory.
  • At least one year of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting is necessary to qualify for this role.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in oncology rehabilitation is highly desirable, as it aligns with our focus on specialized cancer care.
  • Certification as a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) is preferred, or a willingness to pursue this certification is expected.

Compensation and Benefits
