Connect Staffing is hiring a Machine Operator for a vinyl sign and graphics manufacturer in Placentia, CA. This is a temp-to-hire evening position paying $19.50/hr with 8+ hours of overtime available. In this role, you will operate casting machines to produce vinyl films and clean and set up wet-end equipment including coating heads, pumps, and filters. This is a long-term opportunity with a specialty manufacturer that produces vinyl films for the sign and graphics industry.

Pay: $19.50/hr.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM; weekend availability required

Location: Placentia, CA

Responsibilities

• Operate casting machines to produce vinyl films according to production schedules and specifications.
• Set up mixers, pumps, totes, hoses, liners, and adhesive according to work order requirements.
• Identify coating defects on vinyl film and take corrective action to eliminate them.
• Handle hazardous waste materials following established safety procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance and make process adjustments as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment, including proper use of PPE.

Minimum Requirements

• 6+ months of machine operator or general labor experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating coating, laminating, or film extrusion equipment.
• Familiarity with wet-end equipment such as coating heads, pumps, or filter systems.
• Experience reading and following work orders in a production environment.
• Background in chemical manufacturing, adhesive production, or industrial coating processes.
• Experience identifying and documenting quality defects on a production line.
• Ability to tolerate strong odors produced by industrial vinyl coating processes.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and frequently.
• Ability to work at a fast pace throughout the shift.
• Steel toe boots required (employee-provided).
• Ability to tolerate strong industrial odors.
• Ability to comply with grooming standards, including no facial hair policy.
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify).
• Must communicate effectively in English.
