Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric PACU RN for a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of pediatric PACU experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Pediatric PACU unit within a comprehensive pediatric medical and surgical center
• Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and Level IV NICU environment
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule with 8/10/12 hour options, 7:00pm-7:30am or 11:00pm-7:30am with flexibility
• Mon-Fri or Sunday through Thursday scheduling
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license required (pending WI license accepted with submission)
• BLS and PALS certifications required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric PACU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required, ideally within the past 12 months
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with strict adult and pediatric passing criteria

Additional Information

• Provide perianesthesia care to pediatric surgical patients including airway assessment, respiratory monitoring, and cardiac monitoring
• Skilled care areas include neurological, orthopedic, ENT, and general surgery recovery
• Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC line management, and blood product administration utilized
• Located within a Magnet-designated children's hospital known for specialized pediatric care
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Parking permit required for onsite parking, with alternative transportation options available
