Senior IT Specialist (MSP/System Administration)

Salary: $85,000 - 95,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 5 years of hands-on IT support or systems administration experience, preferably in a managed service provider or client-facing setting.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills across Windows, macOS, mobile devices, cloud applications, identity, endpoints, networking, and infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Box, Dropbox, Monday, Slack, Teams, Zoom, VoIP, and industry-specific business applications.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, and other identity and access management platforms.
• Working knowledge of firewalls, wireless networks, VPNs, servers, backups, and core infrastructure.
• Practical understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including endpoint, identity, and access controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients and technical teams.
• Sound judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring teammates and improving processes, documentation, and systems.
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds, crouch or kneel as needed, and use a computer and standard office equipment for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to local client sites.
• Helpful additional experience includes fast-paced managed services, supporting executives or other high-touch users, RMM/MDM, EDR, SSO/MFA, backup, network equipment, PowerShell, scripting, automation, regulated environments, incident response, or complex migrations.

• Manage complex client support requests from initial contact through resolution and follow-up.
• Troubleshoot advanced issues involving users, endpoints, SaaS, identity, networks, servers, security, and infrastructure.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Active Directory/Entra ID, endpoint management, and identity platforms.
• Act as a technical escalation point and collaborate with Consultants and Engineers on high-impact issues.
• Manage technical onboarding and offboarding, including devices, identities, applications, and access.
• Support networks, firewalls, wireless systems, conference rooms, and office technology.
• Oversee technology procurement, deployment, inventory, and lifecycle management.
• Mentor Associate IT Specialists and IT Specialists through troubleshooting guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Lead technical work for migrations, deployments, refreshes, office buildouts, and security initiatives.
• Identify root causes and improve systems, monitoring, standards, and workflows.
• Strengthen documentation, procedures, and technical standards across client environments.
• Stay engaged during critical incidents and help drive lasting resolutions.
