Job Title : Customer Service Representative Employment Type : Full-Time Location : Modesto, CA, United States About the Role: We are recruiting on behalf of Ashley Furniture for a Customer Service Representative in Modesto, CA. In this showroom role, you will greet guests, support sales order processing, manage payment and financing transactions, and assist with store administrative functions. Welcome showroom guests in a professional, courteous manner reflecting Ashley's brand reputation. Provide exceptional customer support across in-person visits, telephone calls, and email inquiries. Resolve customer questions and issues promptly, partnering with store management on escalations. Collaborate with sales consultants and warehouse teams to deliver smooth, high-quality customer service. Key Responsibilities (Order Processing & Office Operations): Process customer sales orders accurately, verifying required paperwork and payment approvals. Assist guests with consumer credit applications, financing options, and account maintenance in retail systems. Follow established cash handling policies, process payments, and balance drawers accurately. Prepare routine sales reports, maintain filing systems, and assist with store inventory compliance audits. Required Skills & Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ years of customer service or retail office experience preferred. Legal authorization to work in the US; minimum 18 years of age. Competency with Microsoft Office Suite and retail management/POS systems. Excellent communication, active listening, and relationship-building skills. Availability to work flexible retail hours including weekends, evenings, and holiday shifts.
