Family Nurse PractitionerHot JobMain Clinic - Lubbock, TX 79401DescriptionThe Advanced Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing preventive and primary care as a part of a health care team in an ambulatory setting in a particular discipline. The Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with a physician and provides care under established guidelines agreed upon by the nurse practitioner and the physician.Duties include:Providing primary care to patientsPerforming initial examinations, including physical exams and patient observationsSetting up and monitoring medical equipmentOrdering and administering diagnostic testsCommunicating test results to patients and their familiesRecording patient medical historiesOperating and maintaining medical equipmentQualificationsEducation: Registered nurse and successful completion of a certified post-graduate program for nurse practitioners.Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas. BSN or advanced degree, certification and/or license in specialty. Maintains current DEA license. Current in Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (BLS).Experience: Prefer experience but will consider new graduate.Expertise: Primary health careLanguage: English; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferredTravel: Occasionally; valid Texas driver's license and current auto insurance required; must have reliable and safe transportation.Hours of Work: 8am-5pm M-F with some weekend/evening work.
