NOTICE OF OPENING
CUSTODIAN (NIGHT, NON-LICENSED)

The Night Custodian will assist the Maintenance Operations Coordinator in maintaining the physical school plant and grounds in a condition of operating excellence in order to provide quality education and a safe environment for all staff and students.

RATE OF PAY:

$22.69/hr * + $0.60/hr (night differential) Per the 2025-2027 Building Services Employee Agreement

* Custodians have the opportunity to receive additional 7% increase in pay if they currently have, or have the ability to obtain, any of the following combinations of licensures:

• Boiler's license + School Bus Driver's Endorsement
• Boiler's License + Pesticide License
• Boiler's License + Certified Pool Operators License

Tuition reimbursement may be available for those wishing to study for a license.


HOURS PER DAY/DAYS PER WEEK/START AND END TIMES:

Full-time, benefit eligible opportunities working either:

• 8 hours/day, 5 days/week (260 days/year)
• 3:00 pm-11:30 pm

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret standard operating instructions and understand labels.
• Ability to prioritize work assignments.
• Ability to take direction from multiple sources.
• Ability to communicate with faculty and staff.
• Ability to meet the public & communicate with students.

TESTING REQUIRED:

All job offers from Eden Prairie Schools are conditioned upon passing a pre-employment criminal background check and ISD 272 School Board approval. Offers for these positions will also be conditioned upon passing a pre-employment physical abilities test.
