Position: MS/Tele Float RN

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in a float position, covering various units including Medical-Surgical (MS), Telemetry, and cardiac step-down units. This is a night shift position working 4x12-hour rotations from 19:00 to 07:30.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care across multiple units based on institutional needs, including ER boarded patients, telemetry, and med-surg.
• Maintain a nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-6, which may vary depending on unit acuity.
• Assist with charge nurse responsibilities in smaller units, managing staffing needs, bed flow, and coordinating patient care.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including IV, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response Teams.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of charge nurse experience is required.
• Experience in the United States healthcare system is mandatory; Canadian experience is not acceptable.
• Proficient in EPIC charting system.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac telemetry.

Patient Population:

The patient population serves adults and geriatrics, with a daily census that varies based on unit needs.

Additional Information:

• Travelers may be required to float between nearby sister facilities as needed.
• This position may require working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
• Must request all time off or specific scheduling requests upfront during the submission process; post-submission requests may not be accommodated.
