Security Officer - EMT/EMR at Erickson Senior Living Location: Avery Point by Erickson Senior Living, Short Pump, Virginia. Compensation: $22 per hour. Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Full time with benefits including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) with a company match. EMR or EMT certification required. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing our security and emergency services programs and providing outreach within the community. What We Offer A culture of diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging Medical, dental, and vision packages, including an annual reimbursement for qualified wellness expenses, personal health coaching, and telemedicine options PTO plans and company‑paid volunteer hours for eligible team members, in accordance with applicable state law 401(k) for all team members 18 and over with a 3% company match Onsite medical centers providing wellness visits and sick care for all team members over 18 years of age 30% discount on food and drinks at onsite dining venues and additional healthy‑choice meal options at discounted prices Growth opportunities as we open new communities and expand existing ones How You Will Make An Impact (Responsibilities) Perform regular patrols of the property, provide relief staffing for the gatehouse, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service Enforce all traffic and parking regulations Respond to calls for service from dispatch and security Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care utilizing basic interventions Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity Utilize local police, fire, and EMS during emergencies Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using our online report system What You Will Need (Qualifications) At least 18 years old Valid driver's license Prior experience in security and/or emergency medical services (preferred) Proactive, vigilant, and detail‑oriented with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency, and effectiveness Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification Current Emergency Medical Responder certification; higher‑level certification acceptable, but new hires must obtain EMR certification within 30 days Specific state regulations and requirements may apply. These regulations take precedence over the requirements outlined above.
