Exciting opportunity to join our team at the Marriott Tacoma Downtown as a Banquet Server. The banquet server's primary role is to provide food and beverage service at catered events like weddings, parties, and corporate functions.

Compensation:$16.66 an hour
Responsibilities:Event Setup & Preparation:
- Setting up tables, chairs, linens, and place settings.
- Arranging buffets and drink stations.
- Ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are in place.
Food & Beverage Service:
- Serving food and beverages to guests, either plated or from a buffet.
- Refilling drinks and ensuring guests have everything they need.
- Taking food and drink orders and relaying them to the kitchen.
- Answering questions about menu items.
Post-Event Duties:
- Clearing tables and removing dirty dishes.
- Cleaning up the event space and restoring it to its original state.
- Assisting with the inventory and storage of equipment and food.
General Responsibilities:
- Providing excellent customer service and creating a positive experience for guests.
- Working collaboratively with other staff members, including kitchen staff and event planners.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
- Being available to work on-call, as events may vary in schedule.
- Prior banquet experience preferred but not required.
- Food service or similar industry experience is ideal.
- Weekend availability.
