Position Overview

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic surgical environment with variable shift hours based on departmental needs. Applicants must possess or obtain an active State of Hawaii license prior to the start date.

General Job Duties

• Assist with turnover cleaning of surgical rooms
• Transport patients as needed

Procedures Required

Independently scrub the following cases:

• General
• Orthopedic
• Vascular
• Ophthalmic
• Urology
• ENT
• Endoscopy
• Robotic
• Obstetrics
• Gynecology

Minimum Experience Required

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience scrubbing cases in a hospital setting.

Shifts and Call Requirements

The operating hours are from 6:45 AM to 11:15 PM. Schedules will vary based on the needs of the department, with most applicants scheduled for 40 hours a week. In the case of holidays, hours may reduce to 32. All staff are assigned call responsibilities, averaging 1-2 times per week, with the expectation of up to 2 weekends per month. A 20-minute call back time is established.

Facility Details

The facility operates 1-2 outpatient GI labs with 1-2 rooms running simultaneously, providing a fast-paced and efficient operating room environment.

Dress Code

Scrubs will be provided for all staff members.

Orientation and Contract Requirements

Applicants will undergo orientation on the day shift for up to a week or as determined by management. Travelers are required to complete a minimum of 39 shifts during the contract duration, particularly if requesting time off (RTO).

Additional Information

It is essential that the successful applicant arrives the Thursday prior to the start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday. Please ensure availability for this timeline.
