Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

A vacancy exists for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at the Upper Merion Area School District for the School Year 2026-2027.

Qualifications
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Master's degree in applied behavior analysis, special education, psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral disorders or developmental disabilities, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of behavior analysis principles and practices, including functional behavior assessment and behavior intervention planning.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data to make informed decisions about behavior interventions and outcomes.
  • Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to analyze the antecedents and consequences of problem behaviors.
  • Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on the results of FBAs and collaborate with the student's educational team to implement these plans.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to teachers, staff, and parents on behavior management techniques and strategies.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of behavior intervention plans through data collection and analysis, making necessary adjustments to ensure progress.
  • Collaborate with school personnel to create and maintain a positive and inclusive school climate that supports the social-emotional and behavioral development of all students.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input regarding behavior goals and objectives for students with disabilities.
  • Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavior management to ensure high-quality services.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of behavior assessments, interventions, and progress reports for each student.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Bachelors: $55,439/year Masters: $71,585/year Masters+30: $78,999/year

Bachelors+24: $59,654/year Masters+15: $78,061/year Masters+60: $82,491/year
