Travel Physical Therapist Opportunity

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or equivalent accrediting bodies.
• Current, active, and unencumbered Florida physical therapy license required prior to the start of assignment.
• Minimum 2-3 years of clinical physical therapy experience preferred as indicated by the client; candidates with equivalent experience will be considered.
• Current BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
• Experience providing skilled physical therapy in home health or outpatient home visit settings preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform patient evaluations, develop and update plans of care, and document clinical progress in electronic health records.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and agency-required liability insurance for performing home visits.
• Ability to supervise and evaluate PTAs and home health aides as assigned and to coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Proficiency with basic computer functions including email, internet navigation, and electronic documentation systems.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Home Health
• Shift Name: Evenings
• Schedule Pattern: 5x8 (five shifts per week, eight-hour shifts)
• Scope of Practice: Perform patient evaluations, provide therapeutic services per physician orders, and participate in plan of care development and discharge planning.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: May directly supervise and evaluate Physical Therapy Assistants and Home Health Aides as assigned.
• Travel/Float Requirements: Must have reliable transportation for home visits within the assigned service area.
