Substitute Group Fitness Instructor - Wheaton, IL

We are currently seeking Substitute Group Fitness Instructors/Health Fitness Specialist to provide health and wellness services to our senior living clients in Wheaton, IL. As a substitute, you will be responsible for covering absences of our regular Health Fitness Specialists. This is an "as needed" substitute opportunity with week day, day time shifts. Responsibilities Be able to guide members through personalized exercise programs based on members' goals, fitness levels, and health conditions. Lead group exercise classes, including balance, cardiovascular workouts, strength training, and other formats. Provide guidance and supervision to ensure proper exercise techniques and prevent injuries. Assist with health promotion initiatives, such as wellness workshops and events as needed. Maintain accurate records of client progress and program participation. Collaborate with other wellness professionals, such as physical therapists, to optimize clients' health outcomes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field preferred. Certified Personal Trainer and other relevant certifications considered(e.g., ACSM, NASM, ACE) Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a fitness setting, preferably working with diverse populations. Strong knowledge of exercise principles, techniques, and equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and preferences of clients. Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire individuals to achieve their fitness goals.
