In this role, you will support new graduate nurses as they transition into pediatric practice, providing hands-on guidance and fostering clinical confidence across units. You will help design and deliver engaging, evidence-based content for both the RN Residency and Preceptor Programs, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and clinical excellence standards. This position develops, implements, and evaluates proactive educational plans and programs to address staff and departmental needs to ensure ongoing enhancement and improvement of staff skills, competencies and professional growth in accordance with established standards, requirements and regulations. Position Duties Collaborates with colleagues within the educational department to support the departmental strategic plan and ongoing institutional growth. Collaborates with other disciplines and departments as a change agent and participates in the evaluation of outcomes. Engages in ongoing organizational endeavors which support the philosophy and values of Phoenix Children's, nursing, model of care and professional development of staff. Plans, implements, and evaluates learning opportunities based on evidence using a variety of teaching strategies. Seeks and takes advantage of opportunities to enhance own professional growth and development. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested. Education Bachelors degree in Nursing. Experience One year experience in a preceptor or leadership role in the specific specialty area. Two years clinical pediatric nursing experience. Adult teaching experience (preferred). Additional Requirements Current State of Arizona RN license. Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association. National Certification in clinical specialty and/or nursing professional development (preferred).
