Job Opportunity At Allegheny Health NetworkThis job provides quality care to patients and families to promote health and prevent disease under the direction of a registered nurse or physician.Essential responsibilities include:Performing general nursing care in accordance with nursing practice standards.Assisting with the preparation of equipment and assisting the physician/clinical provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.Collecting assessment data, preparing patients for examination, and documenting clinical information on patient records.Ordering diagnostic tests as directed by a registered nurse or physician/clinical provider and gathering diagnostic tests and/or examining results prior to physician/clinical provider assessment.Scheduling procedures and obtaining authorizations as necessary.May give injections or medication, collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, and prepare them for testing.Performing other duties as assigned or required.Qualifications:Minimum:High school diploma/ GED or equivalent.Current state licensure as an LPN OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)Preferred:1 year healthcare experience.State approved IV course certification.Knowledge of OASIS documentation and assessment process.PALS or ACLS may be required based on the specific area of practice.Additional employment requirements:Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance CertificateAct 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance CertificateCPR – American Heart AssociationAct 34 Criminal Background Clearance CertificateCompliance Requirement: This job adheres to the ethical and legal standards and behavioral expectations as set forth in the code of business conduct and company policies.As a component of job responsibilities, employees may have access to covered information, cardholder data, or other confidential customer information that must be protected at all times.
