Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Current state license preferred Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Epic charting experience Description: Position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Interventional Radiology. Responsibilities include providing care for procedural patients in prep and recovery. Involves administering moderate sedation during various radiology procedures. Procedures include CT, ultrasound, and interventional radiology cases. Care is provided for both inpatient and outpatient patients. Monitoring includes MRI for pacemaker patients and medication administration for nuclear medicine patients. Nursing duties may include assisting with biopsies, tube placements, and various interventional procedures. Equipment utilized includes air patient movement devices, ceiling lifts, and monitoring systems. The average daily census is around 40 patients with a ratio of 1:5. Interdisciplinary support services available include IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Ideal candidates have experience in procedural sedation and are well-versed in infection prevention measures. Flexibility for occasional on-call shifts is preferred, but not mandatory.
