Tax Associate

Title: Tax AssociateLocation: Toledo, OHDirect HireWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Tax Associate to join our client's growing tax team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals beginning their career in public accounting or corporate tax. As a Tax Associate, you will work closely with senior team members to prepare and review tax returns, conduct tax research, and assist with various tax-related projects.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizationsGather and organize financial data from clients and internal teamsPerform basic tax research using online databases and toolsSupport the team during tax season and deadlines with data entry and administrative tasksMaintain accurate and organized documentation of tax work and client communicationsStay current on relevant tax regulations and filing requirementsAssist with audits, notices, and other correspondence from tax authorities as neededCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reportingQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing)Basic understanding of tax laws and accounting principlesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with tax software like ProSystem fx, CCH Axcess, or UltraTax is a plus)Strong attention to detail and analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentWillingness to learn and take on new challengesCPA or CPA-eligible is a plus but not required #J-18808-Ljbffr Embark Recruiting Solutions
