Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist/CST

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of OR experience for a 13-week hospital Operating Room assignment in Charlotte, NC. Requirements Minimum 2 years of OR experience in specialty required Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology education program required prior to start BLS certification required National certification (e.g., CST) preferred Strong scrubbing experience across multiple specialties required, including orthopedic, general, urology, robotic, GYN, colon, breast, spine, podiatry, and plastics CVOR candidates must have strong and recent experience with CABG, TAVR, vascular, and thoracic cases Orthopedic scrubbing proficiency is especially important for Main OR candidates License required if applicable Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN Responsibilities Hospital-based OR setting with 13 ORs plus one Procedure/Cysto room, averaging 45 cases per day Main OR case mix includes orthopedic (total joint arthroplasties, arthroscopies, fractures), spine (cervical/lumbar fusions, microdiscectomies, laminectomies), general surgery, colorectal, breast, podiatry, urology, robotic, GYN, and plastics CVOR case mix includes cardiothoracic (CABG, AVR, MVR, mini mitral, septal myomectomy), vascular (fistulas, TCAR, carotid/femoral endarterectomy, bypasses, hybrid cases), and thoracic (VATS, robotic resections, lobectomies) 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, 36 hours per week On-call requirements include 3–4 weeknight calls per 6-week schedule (7 PM–7 AM) and 1–2 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Saturday or Sunday, day or night) Holidays are covered on a call rotation, which travelers are included in EMR: Epic No floating required First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted Former employees who worked a permanent position at an Advocate Health Southeast facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before consideration Main OR orientation is approximately 1 week; CVOR orientation is approximately 2 weeks, with orientation conducted over five 8-hour shifts Departmental support includes 6 OR assistants on weekdays for room turnovers, stocking, patient positioning, and surgical table operation, as well as a receptionist/HUC, charge nurse, and 24/7 anesthesia/CRNA coverage Scrubs are provided by the facility Parking is free Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-709428 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
