Assistant Coach (Women's Wrestling)

Job Overview Women’s Wrestling Coach – Chadron State College, Chadron, NE. Responsible for coaching, recruiting, and developing athletes within the Women’s Wrestling program while ensuring compliance with NCAA rules and regulations. Responsibilities Analyze performance and instruct student athletes in game strategies and techniques for competition. Recruit student athletes and coordinate campus visits for prospective team members. Observe player performance to identify areas for individual or team improvement. Coach athletes individually or in groups, demonstrating techniques and providing feedback. Provide wrestling instruction and development for student athletes. Assist with the organization and supervision of camps, duals, and meets. Coordinate team laundry and general team logistics. Verify athlete participation in study halls and classes. Assist with game operations for all home football games. Support athletic team and department fundraising initiatives. Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and proven coaching experience. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Successful background checks and credit verification. Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record. Preferred: Prior coaching experience in women’s wrestling. Salary and Benefits Annual Salary: $36,126 (off‑contract periods apply). Full-time Equivalent (FTE): 0.83. FLSA Status: Exempt. Union Status: NSCPA.
