Pay Rate: $22.00 – $26.00/Hour
Shift: Day Shift

Schedule:

• Monday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Alternate Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• 40 hours/week
• Local Candidates Required: Accepted
• Traveler Candidates Required: Accepted

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, in addition to an externship
• Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
• Phlebotomy/Venipuncture experience required
• EMR experience required
• Front-office and back-office medical assisting experience
• Experience with EKG and POC testing
• Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail
• BLS or CPR required; candidates without either may start pending approval from Marathon
• Interest in health education and outreach

Responsibilities

• Support both front-office and back-office operations
• Greet and room patients
• Obtain and document vital signs
• Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture
• Administer vaccinations
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
• Schedule patient appointments
• Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries
• Collect applicable fees
• Provide additional clinical support as needed
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in the EMR
• Communicate effectively with patients and center staff
• Maintain a collaborative relationship with the healthcare team
• Support health education and outreach initiatives
• Follow center policies, procedures, and patient safety standards
